Another Korean Update

Our Korean users will be happy to know that we have finally added the Asiana Star Alliance award rates to the milez.biz calculator. The Asiana award rates are now zone based as well.

Asiana has a very large Europe zone that includes almost all of Russia (only the very far east is excluded), all the way to Morocco and Algeria in North Africa, and from Iceland all the way to Turkey. So a trip from Ekaterinburg to Marrakech represents a good miles deal!

Hawaii is zoned together with Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America, ergo Mexico City to Honolulu is also a pretty good deal :)

Big Korean Skypass Update

We have done an overhaul of the Korean Air Skypass rates on the milez.biz system:

• Rates have been updated for the Skypass program and both off-peak and peak rates are now included
  
• Skypass Skyteam rates now also include domestic rates in places like Italy, France and Romania
• Skypass partner program award rates have been added for Emirates, Alaskan Airlines, and Hawaiian Airlines.

Another Data Update

The TAM Fidelidade miles calculator has been re-activated with the oneworld redemption rates.This allows users to calculate how many TAM Fidelidade miles are needed for any flights on the oneworld network.

This update also adds all the TAM destinations to the rest of the oneworld frequent flyer programs. Click here to see all the oneworld rates for Rio de Janeiro to Paris.

Furthermore, we have added the Flying Blue partnership with low cost carrier Transavia. Transavia operates primarily out of France and the Netherlands. Flying Blue members can redeem award flights to sunny destinations for low rates, for example Amsterdam to Ibiza for 12,500 miles.

Star Alliance Update

Air India (Flying Returns) Star Alliance rates and destinations have been added to the milez.biz calculator. Not only does this allow Flying Returns members to query milez.biz for Star Alliance redemption rates, but it also adds all Air India destinations to the Star Alliance universe.

LifeMiles (Avianca, TACA) recently adjusted its Star Alliance redemption rates. Milez. biz has been updated with the latest Star Alliance rates.

TAM Fidelidade has been deactivated for the time being as it is no longer a Star Alliance member. This also means that many Brazilian destinations are no longer available as Star Alliance options. We will relaunch the TAM Fidelidade calculator as soon as we have oneworld rates entered in the system

Milez.biz calculations and comparisons can now be made in French. We're doing a soft launch of our French pages by releasing our homepage and calculator pages first.

Milez.biz  est un outil facile à utiliser qui vous permet de calculer les miles nécessaires pour les billets primes entre n'importe quelles destinations. Many New Transfer Calculations Added

We have added a good number of new calculations that let you compute the number of points needed to transfer miles into a frequent flyer program. Just click on the orange "Transfer" buttons on the results page to see how many points are needed to transfer from a non-airline loyalty program.

Alaska Airlines Partnership Updates

AeroMexico has been added as a partner for Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan flight redemption. This adds many destinations in Mexico. Mileage Plan members can connect to the AeroMéxico network at LAX or Mexico City (MEX).
Example: LA to Cancun

Air Pacific is now called Fiji Airways. If you're looking to calculate rates for flights on Fiji Airways as a Mileage Plan member select the Fiji Airways partnership in the drop down menu.

Icelandair is no longer a partner for miles redemption for Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members and can therefore not be queried on milez.biz anymore.

Qatar Airways oneworld Rates

The  Privilege Club (Qatar Airways) oneworld rates have now been added to the milez.biz calculator. You can query the database for flights with partner airlines from the oneworld alliance.

You can also compare the Qatar oneworld redemption rates against 9 other oneworld partner programs. For example see here oneworld partner rates for a New York JFK to Tokyo NRT ticket.

US Airways Dividend Miles oneworld Rates Added

The US Airways rates for oneworld awards have been added to the calculator. This means you can now query milez.biz for award rates with oneworld partner airlines.

Concurrently, all the other oneworld programs have been updated with the added US Airways routes, this means that there can be some attractive short-haul routes, e.g. YYZ-JFK (a US Airways route) with British Airways Avios (9,000 in economy).
